Loving an addict

If you met my husband, you would probably say that he was outgoing and very funny. The jokes keep coming nonstop, he is great at conversations, and he can put you at ease. The problem is that all of that is a cover for someone who struggles with dark moods, insecurities, and anger. I cringe every time someone says, “It must be so much fun being married to him. I bet you are laughing all the time.” They are correct that I am blessed to be married to him, but I know what a struggle his addiction has caused for both of us.
