The holidays are a time for many of us to be grateful for all our blessings, but it is also a time to share those blessings with those who may be less fortunate than we are. We are so busy planning for the holidays we might forget how easy it is to share those blessings, so here are a few ideas.

Share food. Food is essential for survival, but it is also a way of showing love. You can invite someone to a holiday meal, make cookies for the neighborhood, bring a meal to someone who needs it, or serve at a local food pantry.

Serve. Serve at a food pantry, help someone in need, or check with local churches to tap into volunteer opportunities.

Donate. You can donate food, and anything extra you have like clothes and household items. What you see as unwanted stuff could be a lifesaver for someone.

Connect. Reconnect with friends and family you haven’t seen in a while. You might brighten a day with a simple text.

Visit. Go to a senior living center and visit with the residents. No one should be lonely.
